This proposal occupies part of the building of the Blood and Tissue Bank of Catalonia, a space ceded to the Pere Mitjans Foundation to develop a residence assisted by people with disabilities. This project, therefore, has the function of defining the interior spaces of this part of the building to adapt them to the use of assisted living. The functional program of the project is that of a nursing home for 34 beds, with the residence area divided into living units that reproduce a dwelling, thus containing single or double rooms, a kitchen, a living-dining room and a hygienic chamber. The administration area, with offices and rooms for the management of the activity, and the day center area, with workshop-rooms to carry out different activities for the residents. The residence occupies the first floor of the building; the day center is located on the ground floor, while in the part of the ceded basement there will be complementary spaces for the staff changing rooms and warehouses.
