Aixiña Comprehensive Center

The Aixiña comprehensive center includes very different uses for the care of people with disabilities and the elderly. The complexity, variability and flexibility of the functional program, the location in an urban area of development yet to be consolidated and an exposed climatic situation, suggest an architecture based on a container building, of compact linear typology. Native materials and construction solutions are used, incorporating unique architectural elements appropriate to the size of the center.

The abrupt surrounding topography is used to generate level entrances from three different floors facing different roads, which facilitates accessibility, evacuation in case of emergency and the autonomy and independence of the different uses.
